10 years of contributing to the Joint Learning Program

The National Capital Region of the Joint Learning Program (JLP) recently recognized Assia Turenne, facilitator representing the employer, for her sustained commitment and contribution to JLP for over ten years.

As a federal public servant in Public Works and Government Services Canada, Ms Turenne has given 14 workshops and has also contributed to the launch of the Respecting Differences/Anti-Discrimination kit.  She has facilitated many workshops on this topic with the Quebec Region of the National Council of Visible Minorities.  Together with other members of the Quebec Federal Council’s JLP, she earned an award for her contribution to the kit’s pilot project.

This recognition was part of a national recognition initiative for JLP facilitators active from 2003 to 2013.
