Personnel changes in the Joint Learning Program team

The Joint Learning Program (JLP) is welcoming three people who will serve as regional coordinators (RFC) in the coming months.

Julie Balantes is returning to the JLP as the acting regional coordinator for the British Columbia and Yukon region, a position she held from 2006 to 2008. Lauretta MacCarron is returning to her duties at Correctional Service of Canada. Julie is employed with the Canada Border Services Agency.

In the Ontario and Nunavut region, Teresa Morgan, a Health Canada employee, became the RC effective April 27. She has been a facilitator with the JLP since 2012. The JLP thanks Susan Giampietri for serving as the RC on an acting basis over the past 6 months.   In the Quebec region, Vicky Champagne will take over from Carolle Lajoie on May 18. Carolle retired from the public service on April 17 after nearly 36 years of loyal service, including eight with the JLP as facilitator and RC. Vicky Champagne has been a facilitator with the JLP since 2013. She is on a leave of absence from the Canadian Space Agency to serve as RFC.
