The JLP at the 2016 PSAC Atlantic Racially Visible Members Conference
The JLP Atlantic region held a kiosk at the PSAC Atlantic Racially Visible Members Conference which took place in Halifax from September 23 to 25, 2016. This year, the theme of the Conference was: ''Race Forward: Our Union, Our Community, Our Future!''
The objectives of this year’s PSAC Regional Conference for Racially Visible Members were:
- To discuss, strategize and mobilize on issues impacting Racially Visible Members in their region;
- To share experiences and network with other Racially Visible Members in the region;
- To empower and inspire Racially Visible Members to become active in their union, community and workplaces.
The JLP would like to thank JLP facilitator Wendy Shea who was present at the kiosk to promote the JLP and its workshops during the conference.
