JLP launches second discussion in the Empowering Conversations Discussion Series

The JLP has launched Returning to the Workplace: Now What? the second guided discussion in the Empowering Conversations series, which addresses important concerns of public service employees and their managers.

Returning to the Workplace: Now What?, is 1.5 to 2 hours long, is facilitated by two JLP facilitators and allows teams to talk about how they envision their return to their regular workplace. Participants will:

  • Review the available departmental information about the return to the workplace
  • Identify questions and information needed
  • Begin planning for returning to the workplace

Each guided discussion stands alone: participants do not need to have participated in Discussion one, Grounding Ourselves in Uncertain Times, in order to fully take part in Returning to the Workplace: Now What?

The response to Empowering Conversations has been powerful and highlights the tremendous need for public service employees to talk about their lived experiences during the pandemic. There is a renewed sense of collaboration and a hunger for connection among colleagues.  In less than a month, organizers across the country have made more than 100 requests for the first session. That number more than doubled in the next month, bringing the total number of requests well over 200 in under two months.

To request a facilitated discussion from the Empowering Conversations series, please contact your local Regional Field Coordinators, or visit the JLP website.
