Engaging with APEX Participants

The Association of Professional Executives of the Public Service of Canada (APEX) held its annual Leadership Summit and Awards in Ottawa at the Shaw Centre May 14 and 15. The JLP kiosk staff spoke with executives from across Canada about the program and its many benefits to both management and employees in the public service.Co-Director Catherine Gilbert chats with an attendee at the JLP kiosk

Well over 100 engaged attendees dropped by the kiosk to talk about JLP offerings, including our in-person workshops, Occupational Health and Safety training and our virtual discussions. Executives were especially interested in the kinds of skills facilitator orientation sessions can hone and refine for their team members.

Co-directors Roxanne Lépine (employer), Catherine Gilbert (union) and Communications, Promotion and Outreach Officer Deirdre Brown spoke with dozens of executives who were deeply committed to improving workplace relationships and keen to explore different ways to approach this goal.

The JLP is delighted to have connected with so many public-service executives invested in learning about options for creating safety, conversations, and opportunities for learning in their workplace!
