Instant Synergy at the Ontario-Nunavut Orientation Session

The Ontario-Nunavut region has welcomed 18 new facilitators into the JLP fold! This exceptional cohort – participants who had never met or worked together before – formed near-instant bonds over the course of the week. Program Officers Konstantin Kilibarda (union) and Suzanne McFarlane (employer) witnessed a lot of laughter and friendships…created.”

This was a truly amazing experience – the facilitators and participants alike created a fantastic learning environment and helped me build the confidence I needed to become a JLP facilitator. - Heather Michaud, Union, SSC

Participants’ facilitation and communication skills were honed on sections from three JLP workshops: Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace, Understanding the Collective Agreement and Respecting Differences / Anti-Discrimination.

The JLP orientation was very engaging with a lot of chances to practice our skills as facilitators. It was a very welcoming and safe learning environment.  – Corinna Cormaggi, Employer, IRB

New Regional Field Coordinators Anu Datta (employer) and Aaron MacGregor (union) are delighted to have a full cohort of 18 new facilitators to fill the ranks in the Ontario-Nunavut region.
