The JLP welcomes new facilitators in the Quebec region
From February 10 to 14, the JLP welcomed 18 participants from Quebec and one from the National Capital Region to the Hotel le Dauphin, in Drummondville.
A rewarding experience with great people!!! - Célia Audet-Therrien - Employer - EDSC
Learning activities, based on the experiential approach, enabled participants to improve their facilitation and communication skills. These exercises were based on three JLP workshops: Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace, Understanding the Collective Agreement, and Duty to Accommodate.
I am delighted to be associated with this organization, which facilitates relations between employers and unions in the workplace, and is in line with my values of sharing and human inclusion. - Anne-Marie Cauvier - Union - Parks Canada Agency
Regional coordinators Michaëlle Antoine (union) and Andrée Damphousse (employer) organized a week peppered with firsts and innovations. For the first time since its update, the Duty to Accommodate kit was used by the new facilitators. In addition, the Hotel Le Dauphin offered generous portions for lunch and snacks. To avoid any waste, the remaining foodstuffs were donated to users of La Piaule, an organization that works to “restore the bridge between marginalized people and the community.”
