Ten thousand learning events at the JLP
On February 17th, 2026 the Joint Learning Program (JLP) proudly celebrated the delivery of its 10,000th learning event.This milestone also marks the participation of over 150,000 public-service employees in JLP events across Canada.
The mood was festive at learning events in three cities to mark this exciting milestone. Cake, balloons and smiles were the order of the day! Three different departments marked the event with three different JLP workshops.

And one more in Fort Erie, Ontario with the Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace in-person workshop at Canada Border Services Agency. In Fort Erie, Regional Field Coordinators Anu Datta (employer) and Aaron MacGregor (union) also joined in the festivities and were treated to a tour of the facilities.
