New Memoranda of Understanding

The Joint Learning Program (JLP) recently signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MOU)

First, it renewed a MOU with the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) and the Union of the Solicitor General Employees. The MOU is designed to provide guidance on the delivery of the Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace workshop to all CSC employees. The MOU will end on March 31, 2015.

The JLP also signed an agreement with Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), and the Public Service Alliance of Canada, the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada, the Canadian Merchant Guild, Unifor Local 2182, the Canadian Association of Professional Employees and the International Brotherhood of Electronical Workers Local 2228. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is designed to provide guidance on the delivery of the Mental Health in the Workplace workshop to the DFO and the CCG employees on a voluntary basis. The MOU took effect on October 31, 2014, and expire on August 31, 2017.

A strategic partnership is an agreement between the JLP, a department or agency, and a union to deliver a specified number of workshops during a particular period of time. This agreement is in writing in the form of an MOU that spells out the responsibilities of each partner.
