Armchair Discussions: Strategic Conversations – Effective Communication for Tough Dialogue
Challenging conversations can be a source of tension and anxiety and as a result, it can be tempting to avoid them. This two-hour workshop, organized by the Canada School for Public Service, will offer some insight into how to become more strategic in these conversations with staff and colleagues.
This informative and interactive workshop will take some of the stress out of difficult conversations by giving participants a better grasp of the dynamics of these exchanges and more confidence in their listening skills.
The workshop, facilitated in English by Scott Prior (Conflict Management Practitioner, Office of Informal Conflict Management, Employment and Social Development Canada) will be held on February 25th, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (PST). The workshop, designed for managers and supervisors but opened to all public servants, will be available across Canada by webcast.
