An amazing opportunity to promote the JLP in Québec
Québec’s regional coordinators took part in the Racially Visible Groups Conference held in Trois-Rivières from October 31 to November 2. Andrée Damphousse (employer) and Michaëlle Antoine (union) had the opportunity to meet over 60 passionate participants.
This event focused on the themes of inclusion and the challenges faced by racially visible groups in the workplace. It was an ideal opportunity to promote the JLP, by highlighting in-person workshops and virtual discussions targeting equity, diversity, and inclusion issues in the workplace.
The conference also encouraged participants to become facilitators, and to organize and co-facilitate JLP workshops in their workplaces. Many participants left with promotional material, and several representatives discussed the availability of learning activities offered by the JLP in several organizations and departments.
A special visit from Sharon DeSouza, chair of PSAC, added an inspiring dimension to an already rewarding day.
